*Acid Mantle & pH Balance

The skin's acid mantle is a thin, protective layer on the skin's surface composed of sebum and sweat, which creates a slightly acidic environment. It needs to remain at an optimal pH level (around 5.5).

A higher pH means the acid mantle is too alkaline and can make the skin dry, flaky, and susceptible to infections, while a lower pH means that is too acidic and can result in inflammation and is prone to acne.

This first distillation is bottled just as it is, naturally preserved by microscopic rose oil droplets suspended within the water.
