My daughter Simran Lal, who created Paro to share knowledge of Vedic wisdom, has been with me throughout with feedback and encouragement. ITI eventually evolved through my earlier experiments with natural skincare at Paro.

Through your immersive understanding of Vedantic philosophy, how do you see ITI bringing that wisdom into modern ritual?
"Beauty, in the Vedic understanding, goes far deeper than skin. It is multidimensional, multifaceted and deeply layered. Its essence is a deep sense of inner contentment (Saukhya) which is then reflected outward through the body and as wellbeing (Svāsthya). It is also shringar—anointment, adornment and sensual. Beauty represents harmony, order and auspiciousness and is intrinsically connected with the divine.
Something fundamental I learnt from the Vedas is: what is within is reflected without. The peace and joy we feel inside show up in our skin, our health, our bodies, our minds, our spirits. How we perceive the world and move through it shapes all of this—and rituals are an important part of that. Choosing a skincare ritual that invites us to slow down, to be rooted in ourselves, is also an act of alignment between body and mind.
ITI brings this understanding of beauty into our everyday lives. Its fragrant offerings nourish more than your skin—they entice, ground, and uplift, even as the routine itself becomes a ritual of slowing down and coming home to oneself."
